FAQ
1. Do you calibrate XF, XC, and GF lenses?
Yes. We align focus groups, verify flange distance, tune AF motors, and check OIS centering and communication.
2. X100 series overexposes or shows shutter errors. Fixable?
We rebuild or replace the integrated leaf shutter, aperture, and ND module, then re-collimate the lens assembly.
3. Safe sensor cleaning for X-Trans and GFX?
Use a hand blower first. We provide wet cleaning with the correct swab size, edge cleanup, and a dust map at f/16.
4. My camera shows “Turn off and on again”. What do you check?
Shutter and aperture paths, power rails, and firmware. We replace worn parts and run a full functional test.
5. IBIS blur on tripod. Should I disable it?
Yes on rigid support. If blur persists with IBIS off, we test the module, lens mount, and sensor seating.
6. Which cards are best for X-H2S and GFX100 series?
Use CFexpress Type B for high-bitrate video and bursts. For SD slots, choose UHS-II V90, format in camera, and avoid removal while writing.
7. HDMI drops out with my recorder. Can you fix that?
We replace the HDMI port, validate signal stability, and recommend right-angle adapters and cage-based strain relief.
8. AF misses with adapted lenses. Can calibration help?
We check adapter tolerance, adjust flange distance, and tune AF where supported. We also test focus consistency across distances.
9. Can you remap hot pixels for long exposures or astro?
Yes. We perform pixel remapping, verify sensor temps, and advise Long Exposure NR and stable power for multi-minute shots.
10. Rolling shutter banding under LED lights. Any fix?
Use mechanical or EFCS, enable flicker reduction, or set shutter speeds that match the light frequency. We can profile your lighting.
11. Water or saltwater exposure. What is the first step?
Power off, remove battery and card, do not dry with heat, seal with desiccant, and bring it the same day. We neutralize and stop corrosion.
12. Turnaround and warranty?
Standard 3-5 business days. Express 2-3 hours when parts allow. Written warranty 1-3 months by job type.
