Hasselblad Camera & Lens Repair in the USA

What We Do Best

  • X System (X2D 100C, X1D II 50C), 907X 100C, CFV II 50C backs, H1–H6D bodies.
  • XCD and HC/HCD lenses: leaf shutter, AF units, diaphragm, encoder and flex repairs.
  • Medium-format sensor service, IBIS calibration (X2D), EVF/LCD and power circuitry.
  • Water/saltwater recovery, corrosion cleanup, gasket renewal, and data recovery.

Typical Hasselblad Issues We Fix

  • “Lens shutter not cocked” / “Lens not responding” due to leaf shutter or comms faults.
  • “No lens attached” from oxidized contacts, mount play, or flex damage.
  • IBIS micro-blur on tripod (X2D) or startup rattle; needs alignment or module service.
  • Dust/oil on 44×33 sensor; streaks after incorrect DIY cleaning.
  • CFexpress (X2D) or SD UHS-II (X1D II) errors; bent pins or fatigued slots.
  • USB-C tethering not recognized in Phocus; port or cable strain damage.
  • EVF blackout/tearing from ribbon or module faults.
  • H-System mirror drive or body communication errors; sync and timing checks needed.
  • Inconsistent flash sync despite leaf shutter; aperture unit or timing drift.

Flashes & Accessories

We service hot-shoe plates, PC-sync, battery grips, and wireless triggers. Leaf shutter enables full-speed flash sync; we restore timing and consistency after service.

FAQ

1. Do you support X2D, X1D II, 907X/CFV, and H6D?

Yes. We handle body, digital back, and lens repairs, including calibration and firmware recovery.

2. What are signs of a failing leaf shutter in XCD/HC lenses?

Over/underexposure, uneven frames, or “shutter not cocked.” We rebuild the shutter and verify timing at all speeds.

3. IBIS on the X2D causes blur on tripod. Normal?

Disable IBIS on rigid support. If blur persists, we test sensor seating, IBIS centering, and lens mount.

4. Best memory cards for X2D and X1D II?

Use CFexpress Type-B from reputable brands for X2D; UHS-II V90 SD for X1D II. Format in camera and avoid removal while writing.

5. Phocus won’t see my camera over USB-C. Can you fix tethering?

We replace worn ports, test cables, update firmware, and validate stable tether at sustained transfer rates.

6. Safe medium-format sensor cleaning—can I do it at home?

Use a blower only. For smears or stuck debris, we perform wet cleaning with MF swabs, edge cleanup, and a dust map at f/16.

7. “No lens attached” appears randomly. What do you check?

Contact oxidation, mount tolerance, flex cables, and firmware. We clean, shim, or replace parts and verify comms.

8. Can you service EVF/LCD modules on X bodies and CFV backs?

Yes. We replace modules, ribbons, and diffusers, then align color and brightness to spec.

9. Firmware update failed and the body/back won’t boot.

We use service jigs to reflash the main board, validate power rails and memory, and restore modules (AF/IBIS/shutter).

10. Color specks or hot pixels on long exposures—fixable?

We remap pixels, confirm sensor temps, and advise Long Exposure NR and stable external power for multi-minute shots.

11. Flash sync is inconsistent though leaf shutter should sync at all speeds.

We check shutter timing, aperture unit, trigger voltage, and cabling; then calibrate for clean full-frame sync.

12. Do you recover data from cards used in Hasselblad bodies/backs?

Yes. We recover from CFexpress and SD media when physically intact, and verify card health after recovery.

13. Can you calibrate critical focus for studio and infinity work?

We collimate lenses, check flange distance, and run AF and shutter-timing tests across distances and apertures.

14. Turnaround and warranty?

Standard 3–5 business days. Express 2–3 hours when parts allow. Written warranty 1–3 months by job type.
