Tamron Lens Repair — FAQ

1) Autofocus not working or hunting. What’s the fix?

We diagnose USD/PZD/RXD/VXD motors, flex cables, and focus sensors, then replace the faulty part and calibrate AF across focal lengths.

2) VC makes noise or causes blur. Can you repair stabilization?

Yes. We service or replace the VC module, check gyros and mounts, and run stabilization tests to restore normal compensation.

3) Aperture stuck / error in camera. What usually fails?

Typical causes are diaphragm unit wear or torn ribbon. We replace the assembly or flex and verify exposure steps and communication.

4) Zoom is stiff or creeps. Do you rebuild the mechanism?

We clean and relube guides, replace worn cams/bushings, and reset tension. If needed, we install new zoom/focus block parts.

5) Image sharp on one side only. Is that decentering?

Most likely. We realign optical groups on a collimator, set flange spacing, and run resolution charts to confirm even sharpness.

6) Do you update firmware on Tamron lenses?

For supported models we apply updates via TAP-in Console or service tools, then retest AF, VC, and communication with the body.
